A. Monforts Textile Machinery announced the acquisition of the expertise of European coating specialist Timatec and will now manufacture coating machines in its state-of-the-art Austrian factory Montex Ges.m.b.H..

Timatec has a portfolio of coating units for virtually all applications, including solvent treatment and for broader materials.

The product range includes options such as ‘Knife over Air’, ‘Knife over Roller’, ‘Magnetic Rollers’ and ‘Printing-Head Coating’. Due to its small sales team, Timatec was previously only active in the Central European markets, which resulted in excellent references.

Production of the company’s coating machine modules will take place at Monforts’ state-of-the-art production facility, Montex Ges.m.b.H, in St. Stefan, near Klagenfurt, Austria. This was opened more than 33 years ago.

The former director of Timatec will support Monforts as a consultant. With the acquisition of the expertise, Monforts continues to expand its competence in the coating of textiles and technical textiles for the benefit of its customers by offering a complete coating line from a single source. Monforts can provide a worldwide distribution network for sales and service of all its coating systems with proven technology in the market.

Demand in the market segment for coated fabrics is expected to increase further.
